Furthermore, he has ranked as high as 8th position in the men’s singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

John’s successes date back to when he played for the University of Georgia from 2004-2007, where he led his team to NCAA championship in 2007 and reached the singles final. After that year, he became a professional tennis player and made his breakthrough in 2009 by winning the Player of the Year award. In 2012, Isner participated in the Davis Cup and beat Roger Federer. He also reached the ATP Masters 1000 event in the Indian Wells finals. Some of his other best finishes include

  • Australian Open and French Open where he played up to Fourth Round
  • Wimbledon: Semifinalist (2018)
  • US Open: Quarterfinalist (2011, 2018)

Isner was born on April 26 1985, in Greensboro, North Carolina. His father, Robert, a builder, and mother Karen, a real estate agent, alongside his older brothers Jordan and Nathan, contributed hugely to his love for tennis. He is currently married to Madison McKinley and has a lovely daughter, Hunter Grace. Isner is currently residing in Dallas, Texas, alongside his wife and kid. If he is not playing tennis or attending to his other duties, John is usually watching one of his favourite TV shows, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Isner plays right-handed and two-handed backhand, styles that make him the successful and excellent player he is.
