About Filip Misolic

Su-Wei Hsieh is a Taiwanese professional tennis player born on 4 January 1986. The 35-year-old player has enjoyed a successful tennis career. She has garnered three singles titles, 29 WTA Tour doubles titles, one WTA 125K series doubles title, 27 singles and 23 ITC circuit doubles titles.Β 

Hsieh achieved her career-high ranking of world number 23 in May 2014 and world number one in the doubles ranking. Although she is known for doubles prowess, Hsieh has also been very successful in the singles.

Tennis Influences

Hsieh was born in Kaohsiung, to Chinese Ho Fom-Ju and Taipei to Hsieh Tze-Lung. Her father introduced her to tennis when she was five. Her siblings Hsieh Shu-ying and Hsieh Cheng-peng, also play tennis professionally.Β 

As a young girl, Hsieh idolized superstars like Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. She currently trains with her coach Frederic Aniere at a Taipei tennis school run by Hu Na. Hsieh enjoys playing singles, doubles and mixed doubles and plays well on hard surfaces.Β 

She has made history as the first and only Taiwanese to reach the top 25 singles ranking and world number one in the doubles.

Hobbies and Interests of Hsieh

When she’s not on the court, Hsieh loves listening to music, reading books, writing, going out shopping, taking pictures and trying out different cooking ideas. Her favourite tournament is Roland Garros. Hsieh attributes her successful career to the support she gets from her boyfriend Frederic Aniere, who’s also her coach.
