Harmony Tan's

Nadia Podoroska is an Argentine professional tennis player born on 10th February 1997. She achieved her best singles career-high ranking of world No. 36 in July 2021 and No. 67 in the WTA doubles ranking in August 2021. 

Also, Podoroska became the first qualifier to reach the semi-finals of the French Open in October 2020. Her excellent performance put her in the top 40 in singles at World No. 40 and top 100 at number 69 in June 2021, despite having challenges in her earlier career days.

Tennis Influences

Podoroska grew up admiring tennis superstar sisters Serena and Venus Williams and Argentine tennis male players like Guillermo Canas. She started training at Fisherton Athletic Club for the first time when she was five years old. 

Coming from a humble background, Podoroska had financial difficulties at the beginning of her career. Her father, Marcelo, was a watchmaker who later became a pharmacist, and her mother is Irene. Podoroska is the firstborn in her family and the only tennis player. After suffering several injuries, she moved to Alicante, where Juano Pablo Guzman and Emiliano Redondi trained her and helped her get back on her feet.

Hobbies and Interests of Podoroska

Podoroska does not like to share much about her personal life. But sources say she is dating her long-time boyfriend, Gabriela Sabatini, an Argentine tennis player. 

When she’s not on the courts, she likes watching soccer and tennis matches. Her hobbies include online gaming, swimming and playing with her dog. Podoroska’s favourite travel destination is the Russian City.
