Marco Cecchinato's

Marco Cecchinato is a well-known Italian tennis player with a highest ranking of no. 16 in 2019. The 28 years old star is fondly nicknamed Ceck by his fans. He says that he used to play tennis with his uncle when he was seven. Marco’s uncle, who used to be a tennis coach, taught him a lot about the game at a very young age.

Although Marco qualified for the ATP tournament first in 2013, he did not find success till 2018. He grabbed his first ATP title during the 2018 Hungarian Open event. This was huge news at the time since Marco was the first Sicilian player to achieve this feat. After winning his ATP title, Marco achieved another success at the 2018 Croatia Open and 2019 Argentina Open. He is known to perform best on clay surfaces.

In 2016, Cecchinato experienced an upsetting suspension from the Italian tennis federation. He was accused of unlawful conduct of match-fixing and betting. Marco was banned from playing professional series and was also fined €40,000. But in later stages, the ban was retracted and claimed as a mistrial.

Further, not much is known about his current marital status. However, he has been dating Gaia Peki, with whom he had a baby in 2020. The duo named their son Edward and took it to Instagram to share their joy with the fans.

While tennis is his love, Marco occasionally enjoys watching a good game of football too. His favourite team is AC Milan, and he supports them immensely.
