About Tereza Mihalikova

Barbora Krejcikova is a professional Czech tennis player who was born on 18 December 1995. Krejcikova is a Grand Slam winner, having won the 2021 Roland Garros title and a couple of doubles and mixed doubles titles at Grand Slam tournaments.

She’s also a winner of a gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games alongside her peer Katerina Siniakova. After Serena and Venus Williams and Samantha Stosur, she is one of only four active female players to have won a Grand Slam title in all three disciplines.

Tennis Influences

Barbora grew up idolizing the Belgian tennis superstar Justine Henin. In fact, Krejcikova even met with Henin once and was super surprised she recognized her. Motivated by Justine, Barbora aspired to play similarly to her.

Now, she is a hard-charging player who can play almost everywhere on the court. Her tremendous serve, powerful groundstrokes, and all-around net game have made her a household name.

Her strongest groundstroke is her two-handed backhand, which she can use to produce unique angles and hit winners from any position on the court. Krejcikova can use her backhand slice to break up the tempo of rallies, allowing her to build points sensibly. Her forehand is also powerful, with heavy topspin that pushes opponents well behind the baseline and allows her to control rallies.

Hobbies and Interests of Krejcikova

Krejcikova began playing tennis at the young age of six, and she apparently fell in love with it from the first time she held a racquet. In addition to tennis, Barbora has a passion for gardening at her home with her parents and sewing. Currently, she is unmarried and apparently single, though she doesn’t enjoy sharing too many details of her private life and interests.
