About Thiago Seyboth Wild
The young lad who started playing tennis from the age of 4 held the ATP singles rank of world no. 106 in 2020. His father was his major influence with whom Thiago played tennis growing up. Later, this Brazilian tennis ace then shifted to Rio de Janeiro at the age of 14 to enhance his gaming skills.
After improving his skills, Wild started playing in junior-level tours. Finally, in September 2018, he grabbed the title of junior Grand Slam at US Open. This made Thiago the second Brazilian player to achieve this title after Tiago Fernandes.Â
The very next year, he was able to win his first Challenger title. This improvised his rankings and brought him among the top 300 in the world.Â
Further, in 2020, Thiago got a wild card entry in ATP 500. In the first round, he played against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina creating a record for the longest match in this tournament. Not just this, he was even able to defeat the top 100 players Alejandro in this match. Unfortunately, however, he could not last in the later rounds. But it sure improved his rank and brought him among the top 200 positions.
Next, Thiago participated in the 2020 Santiago ATP 250 tour. He successfully captured the ATP title to become champion at the age of 19. He is also the first 2000s born to clinch the ATP Tour title. Thiago is now the youngest Brazilian Champion of the Open Era.Â
The lad, who is a huge fan of Rafael Nadal, shows greater intensity on the ground. Without a doubt, we can say that he has a bright future ahead on the tennis field!Â
