Alycia Parks is a professional tennis player born in Atlanta, Georgia. The 20-year-old American player started playing at the age of 7 alongside her older sister. After graduating from high school, Alycia had several scholarship offers, which she declined to pursue her dream of becoming a professional tennis player.

Alycia has a career-high WTA singles ranking of 315. In 2019, she reached finals at two ITF W15 tournaments. She then won her first singles title in the W25 in Orlando, Florida, in 2020. Alycia's professional career in tennis is still young. She has recently debuted at the MUSC Health Women's Open in 2021. The right-handed player is hoping to feature in Grand Slams.

Despite being a good player, Alycia has featured in the media more due to a controversy with her opponent Katherine Sebov than for her playing. During the Henderson Tennis Open in Las Vegas in 2019, Alycia threw her racket following her opponent's win. The American player's claim, backed up by several others, was that Katherine Sebov had squeezed Alycia's hand during a handshake. The referee didn't do anything about it at the time, which led to Alycia's physical outburst towards Sebov.

The talented player grew up idolizing Serena Williams. Alycia's father, Michael Parks, coached her in childhood and is continuing to do so. When she is not practising, Alycia enjoys rollerblading, cooking, or playing with her puppies, Giant Schnauzer and Jack Russell Terrier.

Apart from her talent in playing tennis, Alycia can be characterized as an entrepreneur. This is because she started her clothing line while she was still a teenager. Alycia Mikay is a cloth brand that designs Alycia's tennis outfits.
