About Yuki Bhambri
Nuria Parrizas-Diaz is a Spanish pro tennis player born on 15 July 1991. The right-handed player achieved her career-high WTA singles ranking of world number 73 on 27 September 2021.Â
Nuria started playing in the Futures tournaments when she was 16 years old. She has won many ITF Circuit tournaments and two 25K ITF titles.Â
She was advised by her doctors to retire from tennis after a serious shoulder injury. Luckily she recovered and returned to the court in 2019. Her biggest career achievement is reaching the Grand Slam main draw at the 2021 US Open.
Tennis Influences
Nuria took an interest in tennis when she was six years old. She trained in her hometown until she was 14 years old. Luckily, she got a scholarship from the Andalusian Tennis Federation to train at any of their facilities in Seville and compete in Spain’s children and cadet tournaments.Â
By the age of 16, she was playing in the Futures tournaments at the national and international levels. She moved to Barcelona, where she trained at the Hispano Francés Academy. Lack of professional support forced her to return to Granada, where she continued with training and ITF tournaments.Â
Hobbies and Interests of Nuria
Nuria is a fun-loving and determined player. Besides her passion for tennis, she loves listening to music and travelling.Â
The 30-year-old is dating Jose Antonio Sanchez-De Luna, who is also her full-time coach. She’s currently working hard to appear on the Top 100 list despite her injuries.
